Responsibilities
- Work with scientists in Materials and Chemical research on the following type of projects
- Conduct unique materials testing to better understand the robustness of a given material used in MSA products including various environmental exposures and chemical testing
- Learn and use many different analytical tools such as DSC, FTIR, SEM, light microscopy, and more to develop an understanding of material characteristics used and failure mechanisms that occur after various environmental exposures
- Provide reports on testing and work with scientists to determine conclusions from testing
Qualifications
- Minimum-completed first two years of BS in an ABET accredited Material Science and Engineering, Polymer Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering
- A minimum of two semesters of laboratory classes completed in college.
- Students completing MS or PhD are also welcome.
