Chemistry Technician IV

Tampa, FL

Full Time

M-F, 1 st Shift (8AM-4:30PM)

Kelly Services has provided outstanding employment opportunities to the most talented individuals in the marketplace. Today, we are proud to offer a long-term contract opportunity for a Chemistry Technician IV with our client, a leader in the Medical Device industry, located in Tampa, FL.

The chemical technician's responsibilities include analyzing substances to determine their chemical composition, setting up lab equipment and monitoring experiments, compiling technical reports, and interpreting results. You should also be able to follow instructions and collaborate with others. Performs analytical testing for the functional group Finished Products, Stability, Raw Materials, and reviews raw data generated in accordance with GMP guidelines and sample specifications.

Responsibilitie s
  • Performs testing for the in-process, finished product, stability, and raw materials samples using USP, EP, BP, and in-house test methods and analytical techniques/equipment, such as pH meter, Osmometer, Micro Track, Fourier Transform IR, etc
  • Conduct experiments and analyses using common chemistry laboratory techniques, including spectroscopy, microscopy, and physical or chemical separation
  • Checks, calibrates, and maintains test equipment
  • Verifies, and reviews, sample preparations, instrument set-up, and test data for applicable test articles
  • Initiates and writes investigations for analytical procedures, OOT, and OOS results
  • Follows analytical laboratory sops and testing methods
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
  • Participate in safety programs, teams or committees, and conduct regular safety audits to ensure a safe work environment for all employees
  • Support OpEx and EHS S initiatives
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Assume the responsibility for the GMP, ISO and Environmental Health and Safety procedure awareness and compliance within the respective area.


Qualifications
  • B. S. in Chemistry preferred, Minimum B.A. in Chemistry or related science
  • 7+ years in GMP pharmaceutical chemical analysis
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures using complex laboratory equipment
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be highly analytical and have excellent critical thinking skills to ensure proper analyses and recording of results
  • Time management and observation are also important
  • Must be able to work and problem solve individually or as part of a team in pharmaceutical analytical techniques and test methods.
