- Postdoctoral researcher
Description
The postdoctoral researcher will work on the NIH-funded project "Actin-microtubule crosstalk in cell motility" with a particular focus on the roles of Adenomatous Polyposis coli (APC) protein in neurite outgrowth and cell navigation. This project is a part of the overall focus of the lab on cytoskeleton structure and functions. In our studies, we use a combination of fluorescence light microscopy and platinum replica electron microscopy (PREM), which reveal cellular dynamics and nanoscale structure of the cytoskeleton, respectively. We also use a whole range of modern molecular biology and biochemical approaches.
The position is available starting fall 2026. Applicants should send their CV and names of 2-3 references.
Requirements
The candidate is expected to design experiments in consultation with the PI, master required techniques, perform experiments, analyze the results and draft a manuscript.
