Position Overview
XenImmune Therapeutics is seeking a hands-on Scientist to support the development of novel biologic therapeutics. This position is suited to an experienced BS- or MS-level scientist with expertise in flow cytometry, mammalian cell culture, cell-based assays, and human biological samples.
The Scientist will design and execute experiments, analyze and interpret data, maintain accurate records, and communicate findings to colleagues and company leadership. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, scientifically curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced biotechnology environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, execute, analyze, and document cell-based and biochemical experiments supporting therapeutic development.
Perform multiparameter flow cytometry, including sample preparation, staining, acquisition, gating, and analysis using FlowJo.
Maintain and manipulate mammalian cell lines using rigorous sterile/aseptic technique.
Conduct experiments with human biological samples, including primary cells, blood-derived materials, serum, and plasma.
Develop and perform cell-based bioassays, including viability, cytotoxicity, and cell-death assays.
Perform ELISA and other plate-based assays, including luminescence-based readouts.
Measure cytokines and analyze cytokine-response data.
Perform basic microscopy and imaging.
Support characterization of biologic therapeutics and mechanism-of-action studies.
Organize, graph, analyze, and interpret experimental datasets using appropriate statistical and graphical methods.
Use productivity and AI-enabled tools, including ChatGPT, appropriately for research, data organization, literature analysis, and communication.
Maintain complete, accurate, and traceable laboratory records.
Prepare experimental summaries, figures, presentations, and reports.
Present results and conclusions clearly to scientists and company management.
Collaborate with internal scientists and external research partners.
Contribute to experimental planning, troubleshooting, assay optimization, and method development.
Required Qualifications
BS or MS degree in biology, immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, biomedical sciences, or a related field. A PhD is not required.
Approximately 4+ years of relevant laboratory experience with a BS or 2+ years with an MS; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Hands-on experience with flow cytometry and FlowJo.
Strong experience with mammalian tissue culture and cell lines.
Experience working with human biological samples.
Strong sterile/aseptic technique.
Experience with cell-based assays, ELISA or similar immunoassays, and quantitative biological experiments.
Experience analyzing, graphing, interpreting, and managing experimental data.
Ability to execute experiments independently and troubleshoot technical problems.
Strong organizational, communication, and data-integrity skills.
Ability to present scientific results clearly to laboratory colleagues and company management.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Complement biology or functional complement assays
Cytokine or multiplex cytokine analysis
Immuno-oncology
Biologic therapeutics, including antibodies, antibody-derived molecules, fusion proteins, or other protein therapeutics
Primary human cell, serum-based, or plasma-based functional assays
Cytotoxicity and cell-death assays
Luminescence-based assays
Assay development, optimization, or qualification
Translational research supporting preclinical or clinical-stage programs
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated base salary is $115,000–$135,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and technical expertise.

Location
This is a full-time, laboratory-based position in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Regular on-site work is required. No routine business travel is required.
